Under the hood
Moon & Life calculates — instead of looking up. What other apps read from tables is calculated here in real-time.
The astronomical engine is based on ELP2000 theory by Jean Meeus — the international standard for lunar calculations. Every moon position is calculated to arc-minute precision.
Moon & Life uses the sidereal zodiac (Lahiri Ayanamsa) — the actual position of the moon against the constellations, not the tropical offset.
All moon positions, constellations, lunar nodes, rise and set times are pre-calculated until 2030 and stored in the app. No internet, no API, no delay.
The calculations were validated against the research data. The engine determines the daily constellation by the majority of daytime hours — not by a single snapshot.
